Thank You All for your recent kind feedack.
Its very important to receive this information.
Just to answer the taurus question, the taurus
pistols will accept the Beretta Tacrail. Remember,
taurus are (Beretta) clones and are actually built
on the original beretta tooling and dies. The tacrail
fits eight(8) mdls. of berettas'..Best, David W.

I would just like to thank SCI for developing the WOR 4 TacRail! I have mine installed with a TLR-2 tac light/laser on the bottom and a EOTech XPS3-0 sight on top and my beretta is now capable of consistant chipmunk termination at 30 meters! The fit of the WOR 4 is so precise that one would think the weapon was drilled for this application. And I know this TacRail is very appreciated by our troops because it enhances everything the M9 was designed to do. When word of the WOR 4 TacRail gets around I predict Glock and Sig will probably be calling President Obama for a bail out due to drop in sales. Thanks for an amazing product, Stan (PS I apoligize for the remark about your tarp!

Dear David,
I want to thank you for sending me the Tacrail MDL11 for the 1911 Colt. You know how much I spent on my pin shooting race gun to have the frame drilled and tapped for the red dot scope. Unfortunately that gun will always have to stay that way, but the Tacrail can switch between the rest of my Colts with great ease. I mounted the test unit on my stainless with a Pro-Point red dot from my daughter's gun (don't tell her) and sighted it in for 25 feet. We set up the table with the 5 bowling pins and warmed up a few minutes with the race gun. I was clearing the table with a respectable average of just under 3 seconds. Then I switched over to the other gun and cleared the table with a 3.11 seconds, and that's without a compensator like the race gun has. So I guess I am saying that the Clark pin master barrel and all that expensive gun-smithing really doesn't do much for my game. I could have saved a lot of money and the frame on my Gold Cup if your Tacrail had been around a few years ago. I sure hope you don't want this one back, I've grown quite fond of it, so thanks buddy!
All the best to you, Joe Carpanzano

Dear Dave,
I would like to thank you for you both positive and not-so positive comments on the TacRail. You have lived up to your word, given the "straight up" I look for. If you have any "input", Im always willing to listen to shooters ideas on how to make something better...

So when I finally decided to purchase my first civilian handgun since I left the Marine Corps about 7 years ago, I naturally gravitated towards the Beretta that had been my faithful companion for many years in the Corps. I first came across Survival Consultants International’s website as I was just looking to see what accessories were available these days for my trusty new M9, or as it is now, my Beretta Model 92FS.

Let me tell you one thing, after spending some time reading what David Woroner and SCI was doing, I was immediately impressed, not just by their products, but by their overall philosophy and evident patriotism. (At the time, they had just chosen two service members to receive free TacRails). In a time in this Country where we have so many people who seem to hate their own country and strive to move us increasingly towards socialism and big government control, I was so moved to see a company who still embodied what our framers had in mind when they created The Greatest Country on Earth. So, I left a comment on the website basically thanking them for being such Great Americans and helping The USA to live up to what we all know it to be, that is (to paraphrase the great Ronald Reagan) “The last great city on a hill, a shining beacon of hope for all the world to see”.

So anyways, a few months later I received an email from David asking me if I would be interested in the T&E TacRail in return for my honest opinion and review of the product. Of course I was interested, and two days later, a package arrived at my door with the T&E TacRail enclosed inside. So as promised, here is my honest review of SCI’s T&E TacRail:

First question: How hard was it to install? The answer is: not very. If you can brush your teeth without serious injury and follow simple instructions, you can install the unit. First you begin by making sure the weapon is unloaded: eject the magazine, work the slide - visually and physically inspect the chamber to make sure there is not ammunition in the weapon. Then, you slide the TacRail on the gun. Next you tighten the “inside trigger guard screw. Then you tighten the dust cover screws. Finally finish tightening the “inside trigger guard screw” and your good to go. The entire process from opening the box to mounting the tac light and red dot scope took less than 6 minutes, and I was not rushing.

One last note on installing The T&E TacRail; for me, one of the signs of a great company an innovative product, is the inclusion of extra features that just make using the product easier for everyone. For example, the reason I have become such a devout Mac user is that Steve Jobs and the people at Apple think of the little things. As I type on my MacBook, I see many such innovations, like the magnetic power cord and little plastic piece on the cord that extends to wind it up around. These things may seem unimportant to some, but since my last PC became a $1300 paper weight because the power cord no longer charged the computer due to me tripping over it a few times and loosening the connection. Anyways, the reason for this digression stems from what I feel is such a great innovation and illustrative of the tremendous thought SCI put into the development of their TacRail. The hex wrench that is included (along with a spare and compete extra set of screws) with the TacRail is quite small and, at least for me, could be easily lost. However, the TacRail has a spot built right that snugly and securely holds the little wrench so you can easily remove or tighten the unit whenever the need arises. Again, to some this may seem insignificant, but for me, it is just great!

Now, with the T&E TacRail securely in place, and since I already had an internal laser sight installed, I mounted my tactical flashlight on the bottom rail and a red dot scope on top. Another note, the TacRail is so light, that there was no noticeable increase in weight from the weapon alone. Of course when I mounted the flashlight and optic, the weight significantly increased, but personally, I felt the weapon was still tactically viable and could be held at the alert and point of aim for quite some time with very little strain and hand shake.

As for looks, well I’ll leave that for you to decide from the many pictures I have included below. Personally I loved how my Beretta looked, as did the constant stream of admirers who approached me at the range.

Speaking of the range, my T&E TacRail performed admirably there as well. After firing about 300 rounds down range, the unit and screws all remained as tight as they did at installation and as I fired my Beretta, the ejected shells easily cleared the TacRail.

Upon returning home from the range and sitting down to clean my weapon, I had one final concern with the T&E TacRail. Because the TacRail fit so securely and firmly on the Berretta that I was concerned that it might scratch the finish. Well, as I removed the unit, my fears were allayed. There were absolutely no visible signs of wear or scratches anywhere on the frame of the weapon or the inside (or outside) of the TacRail.

So, to sum up my thoughts of Survival Consultants International’s T&E TacRail, I can only say that it is an extremely rugged high-quality product designed with obvious attention to detail and innovative technology. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a way to add tactical accessories to their Beretta.

I am extremely grateful to David Woroner and the rest of the Great Americans at SCI for everything they do for our us and most importantly our Brothers and Sisters overseas who, at this very moment, are providing us all with the very blanket of protection under which we sleep, despite the fact that there are many of whom question the way in which they provide it.

I just wanted to compliment you on not only the hard work and effort you put into creating what seems to be an amazing product, but also for running a great website. I came upon your site by chance as I just got a new Beretta 92FS (my first civilian version of the M9 I came to know and love for so long)and was wondering what options where out there now a days. Your product is great, but I am really struck by your obvious patriotism & good old-fashioned American work ethic and pride, which sadly, is becoming harder and harder to find these days. You all are the very citizens President Reagan had in mind when he described our great country as the last great beacon of hope in the world. Thank you for your contributions in helping to restore the luster to the shining city on a hill that President Reagan, and I, believe America is.

Semper Fi,

Dr. Dave Ricciuti

It is great to see the progress SCI is making.

But this is one of many steps, as we all know, "Survival is of the fittest."

So let us pave the way for those yet to come.

All in all, "Bigger than here & now", the future is being addressed.

Our Troops are "there" now , it would be great to see the gear "there" as well.

David and his Partners are doing what they can as fast as possible without error.

Lets do our part and support these efforts.

FOR OUR SURVIVAL

1911 Guy,

First, thank you for writing.
To your questions:
1) Q:) Am I (1911 Guy) seeing "two versions"?
A:) Good question, I can see what you mean. The longer more blocky, black mount with blunt front is the "original concept image". The shorter, grey appearing mount is the real thing, it is from a 99.5 percent rendered CAD Image. (The design input is finished, final rendering pending this week, by Nov 24th) As I will post the final rendering, you will see again a large change in some design features. So the answer is NO, one is a concept original and the other is a real, in the works version, which will be the standard for all "legacy pistols" (those without OEM Rails.)
2) Q:) What is going to cost?
A:) I'll try not to complicate this answer. I am going to offer a "Pre-Release Special One Time Sale", what that means is that for the first couple of weeks, I will offer the first purchasers of the TacRail an opportunity to pre-order their TacRail at a reduced price. This will last only as long as it takes to sell a certain pre determined amount of products or a time constraint.
When that sales amount or time has run out, the price will change, and probably never be this low again.
Survival Consultants has Dealers that will carry the TacRail, and it is SCI's responsibility to make sure our dealers are positioned to benefit from carrying our product. The specific amount for the "Pre-Release" is still TBD. Until the final unit production price is in, I won't know.
3) Q:) How does it "attach"?
The patent pending device (WOR4 TacRail) denotes two methods of attachment. There are two basic attachment intents. 1) Attach to the Beretta M9 / 92FS Model pistol in its first commercial release (with a 1911 model to follow)which is encompassed by the term "legacy", meaning a pistol that has NO bottom Universal or Picatinny Rail.
The "legacy" version attaches utilizing a new precision fit "trigger guard sliding lock bar" and a "compressive/tension" vise like grip on the receivers dustcover.

The "OEM version" will attach to pistols that the TacRail is made for, in other words, each "Trigger guard sliding lock bar" incarnation will be unique to a specific firearm. Because most newer pistols come with a single lower universal/picatinny accessory rail, the "OEM version" will clamp in the common method to the OEM (Originl Equipment Manufacturer)lower railing as opposed to the compressive/tension method utilized for the "legacy" model. Then it will attach utilizing the pat. pending "Trigger guard sliding lock bar."
So both methods utilize the "Trigger Guard Sliding Lock Bar". (TGSLB)Pat. Pending. and compressive attachment in one version and oem lower rail in the alternate/second version.
Thank you for the questions, I realize now that I had not made clear certain things. I suppose when you are "inventing something new" you get kind of secretive! :) I suppose it is time to get information out there! Best, David Woroner, Pres. SCI

Was wondering, looked at the pistol mount rail thing and see two versions?
Is one for the 1911 and the other for the Beretta?
You also list the price as under 225, but it said TBD? So, what are they going to cost and how does it work or attach? Thanks, 1911Guy, Tenn.

Dear Bill,
I truly enjoyed our conversation about the way things are in Africa and in S. America.
It was also great to speak to someone who knows their history! You know what they say, "those who fail to learn from the past, are doomed to relive it."
