From SCI—Press Release:

SCI has acquired funding for the completion of the production phase for the TacRail.
We are pretty pleased with not only the response from potential customers, but our manufacturing people as well.
Currently, SCI has (2) Two Pat. Pending projects other than the TacRail.
They both have to do with Armor, therefore SCI can not say much about it. If you are an Armor Manufacturer and would like to discuss it please contact us.
SCI has received patent pending status on a water activated chemical rescue lighting device.
We at SCI know that not all of these devices and systems will make it to market. However, it will be our continuing quest to create life saving devices, products and systems.

SCI Files 2nd Armor Patent

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

Survival Consultants is working hard to bring the newest in life saving equipment for those that go into harms way.
SCI is proud to announce that a second patent has been filed with the USPTO. David Woroner, President of Survival Consultants had the following to say about this new patent:
“The first patent we filed in reference to armor was basically to articulate a set of new and unique set of materials and processes to form a new type of armor.
The patent recently filed, our second, not including one I separate because it is a helmet and a helmet system, is also inclusive of materials and processes, however, it is more about creating an entire system. This patent approaches armor completely different from others. Currently companies look at their armor and say (“if a bullet hits this, x,y,z– would happen, what can we do to make it stronger and lighter?”) We are approaching it as action/reaction, but with a technological edgy push forward. Its my personal opinion that aside from some very lightweight hdpe heat pressed panels that were nicely made, that the entire worn armor/armor industry is stuck, reached a plateu and are unable to move to the next level. I think we have the solution to getting to that next level.”-D.W.
Further more, Mr. Woroner stated: “We have been in contact with an armor company, we see an amazing opportunity should we be able to reach an agreement to proceed together. SCI is looking forward to this journey, Mr Woroner has been studying ballistics specifically for over 15 years and armor of all types for roughly seven (7) years. “If we could field both the helmet technology and both patent intents in the next gen bodyarmor/vehicle armor, I know that alot of jaws would drop. My only goal in life pretty much is to see that man or woman get off of a plane from overseas, and go home alive to their family.”

“I’ve been working on this for several years. I have traveled many paths seeking the answers to making something that is so strong, yet very light. I believe I have come up with a unique way to assemble a specific group of elements, chemicals, processes and other components in such a way that I have finally reached a point where I believe it is essential to patent it” states president and CEO  David Woroner
